a place to dump my body

so we have booked the hostels finally and now we will have some where to drop dead after traveling around England each night. I'm glad we got this done, and I'm sure Heather is glad we aren't staying in the place where the lady died... although it would have made for a good story :D

Put On Your Walking Shoes

So since the last post here are some thoughts that have been put into my brain about my walking comment:
the first thought on walking;
"cool thought a walk with the Lord to wake up the brain and keep from getting bogged down with the deadly affliction of the wandering mind." - yours truly

this thought came about after i was told by heather's mom that i would need to get up and walk around on the plane trip to england every hour or so due to the length and cabin pressure there was a chance of getting blood clots, also one really shouldn't sit that long in the first place. so i applied it to God and my spiritual life.

it's like a fast only a little different your not giving something up, but the constant reminder of God and the choosing to focus on him that is like the fast. the last time i fasted i chose to do a partial food(one meal a day) and a media fast(no TV internet, newspaper radio only christian music) it was great. i loved how much of my time was focused on the lord, i got so much out of it. like walking if you imagin that every step you take is one in faith, without God you could not move another inch. you would be so connected with God how could you not do what his will was. and in turn you would be serving your purpose of telling others about Christ and is plan of redemption.

often times people will say "oh my walk is not strong" or " yes i have been walking with the lord for quite some time now" i always knew that meant they were following Jesus' teachings, but i never really pulled it apart and examined it. i still have yet to fully disect it, but here is what i have found thus far, and by found i mean God has shown me, cause lets be honest i'm not exactly the researching type.

so when Jesus was here on earth he was constantly teaching people about how the world worked then and how it should be working. what people were doing wrong, and how they could do it right. and they walked; every where. it's not like jesus got in his touring bus and stoped at each spot said his bit then got back on the bus and traveled some more. which is really cool, that means he travled just as every one else did. he understood how difficult it was getting around he recived no special treatment by society's standards.

now think about this when you want to tell some one something important, or disscuss a matter or particular seriousness you say "let's take awalk" meaning i want to share something with you but in private. essentially we are all taking a walk with Christ. he is sharing with us every day we choose to walk with him. and in turn he wants us to take these walks with other people and let them know what God is doing in our lives and let them know how He can work in theirs.

i know there is more to this but this is all i have and i'm not totaly sure why i have been shown this, but maybe it will help someone else when they read it. so tell me what you think do ya love it hate it? let me know

We Have Lift Off

we bought our tickets today woo hoo. i'm pretty content letting heather and lauren figure out where were are going to be staying and what not, cause i will enjoy where ever we go cause were going together (i know super cheesy) if they want me to chip in more i would not mind, but they seem to have it under control.
i'll just keep praying that we can all agree on something that will enable us to reach a new level of understanding about the Lord. that is my true focus for this trip, and i want to keep remembering that because that is my overall focus for my life. i just wish i could remember this all the time and not get distracted as often.
maybe i should just get up every hour or so and take a walk like heather's mom said, to keep from getting blood clots.

cool thought a walk with the Lord to wake up the brain and keep from getting bogged down with the deadly affliction of the wandering mind.
